The problem

Your lower back has a curve in it. That curve is load-bearing — it is the reason you can stand up all day without thinking about it.

Every office chair flattens it. The backrest is a straight surface, your lumbar spine is not straight, so there is a gap. Your body closes that gap the only way it can: the pelvis rolls backward and the curve collapses. Once that happens your shoulders creep forward to keep your eyes level, and now you are in the posture you keep catching yourself in and correcting for about ninety seconds.

You cannot fix this by remembering to sit up. Nobody can hold a position for eight hours. The chair has to stop pushing you out of it.

What we did about it

The shape fills the gap your chair leaves. The upper section is thin so it does not push your shoulders forward, and it thickens toward the base where the curve actually needs support.

The two side wings are raised, so instead of a single pad in the middle you get contact across the whole lower back. That is what stops the sideways drift when you turn to reach something.

The strap goes around the backrest so it stays where you put it, rather than sliding down to seat level by lunchtime.

To be accepted, it needs to come back complete with the strap, the cover and the original packaging, in resaleable condition. Return postage is at your cost unless it arrived faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. Once it reaches us and we have checked it, your refund goes back to the original payment method within 5 business days.
