The problem

Your tailbone was never designed to carry your body weight. It is the end of your spine, not a foot. But sit on a flat chair and that is exactly what it does — a bone with almost no padding over it, pressed into a surface for eight hours.

What we did about it

We removed the material underneath the tailbone entirely. The cut-out at the back means there is nothing there to press against — your weight is carried on the sit bones either side, which is where your skeleton is actually built to take it.

The channels through the middle are shaped for the hips and thighs, so the pressure spreads out instead of concentrating in two spots. The first ten minutes feel strange because you are used to pressure that has suddenly gone. After that you stop noticing the cushion and start noticing five o'clock.

If you change your mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a return. To be accepted, the cushion needs to come back complete with its cover and original packaging, in resaleable condition. Return postage is at your cost unless it arrived faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. Once it reaches us and we have checked it, your refund goes back to the original payment method within 5 business days.
